As a Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultant and esthetician specializing in skin health, I’m on a mission to educate and inspire people to truly transform their long-standing skin issues and frustrations into healthy and glowing skin - from the inside out.  This is a multi-faceted approach and it all starts with eating more clean, natural and nutrient-dense foods and you get some fantastic recipes and meal plans all done for you as part of the Program! How Does It Work?

The JSHealth Program will be released on February 12th 2017, but you can sign up and start The JSHealth Program anytime after that, from anywhere in the world. It is not run in 'rounds' as we wanted to ensure that no-one would be limited to doing it if that specific date didn't suit them! We have also created an online forum, where you can chat to other participants on your specific week so you never feel alone on your journey.

  • You can sign up on any day of the week and receive access to Pre-Program ('Prep') content.

  • This 'Prep' content will prepare your kitchen, pantry and mindset for The JSHealth Program.

  • You will then receive the content for Week 1 on the next Sunday after you sign up.

  • On each following Sunday for the duration of the 8-week program, we unlock the content, videos, recipes for the week ahead to keep you steadily on track!

WHAT IS DETOXIFICATION?

Detoxification is about resting, cleansing and nourishing the body and its organs from the inside out.  By removing and eliminating toxins and feeding your body with healthy nutrients, detoxifying can help rejuvenate and protect you from disease and renew your ability to maintain optimum health.

GIVE YOUR LIVER SOME LOVE!

  • Your liver is your #1 detoxifying organ. It has over 500 functions!

  • It produces bile (which helps us excrete toxins), regulates carbohydrate metabolism, assists in hormone breakdown & detoxifies EVERYTHING!

There are 2 phases of liver detoxification:

 

Phase ONE:  Toxins become water soluble or ‘weak’ to allow for elimination through our kidneys.

Phase TWO:  Elimination of toxins.

 

Steps to maintaining good liver health:

 

  • Ensure proper digestion and elimination

  • Avoid environmental toxins/stressors

  • Increase water and fiber intake

  • Avoid excessive alcohol, unhealthy saturated fats (fried food) and refined sugar

  • Ensure a healthy clean diet & appropriate supplementation

In order to detoxify effectively, we need to eliminate the foods that are ‘clogging’ up our system. Remember, we detoxify every day! Every minute of every day our body and skin are dealing with foreign invaders from the air we breathe, to the food we eat, to what we drink and the chemicals we come into contact with - yes that also includes the products you use.  Did you know it only takes seconds for what we put on our skin to be absorbed into our blood stream?  

 

If we don’t eliminate the foods that cause the most stress on our detoxifying organs, how can we begin to eliminate toxic buildup and create a rejuvenating and sustainable environment for our cells to renew and thrive?

Here’s what needs to go:

 

  • ENRICHED WHITE FLOUR - bread, cereal, baked goods, etc.

  • DAIRY – milk, cheese, yogurt, cream

  • REFINED SUGAR – all processed sugars (see sugar substitutes sheet for alternatives)

  • PROCESSED FOODS – canned/boxed foods

  • ALCOHOL – for the entire 10-Day Skin Reset Program

  • CAFFEINE – coffee, tea, soda, energy drinks (herbal tea is ok)

  • HIGH FAT FOODS – anything deep fried or high in transfats

  • MEAT – unless it’s grass fed, hormone and antibiotic free
